SAC Launches Public Relations Blog

Stephen Abbott has launched a Weblog ("blog") to highlight the public relations work of Stephen Abbott Communications, of which he is the owner.

The Web log, online at http://abbottpr.blogspot.com, will feature public relations analysis of both local and national companies, individuals and political candidates, said Abbott.

The first postings include topics such as Jeanine Pirro’s stumble as she challenges Hillary in the NY U.S. Senate race, UL publisher Joe McQuaid’s verbal joust with Fox’s Bill O’Reilly, and how even an isolated case of price gouging may hurt a global company’s image.

The number of blogs has exploded in recent years. Blogs offering news analysis and original reporting have become a powerful force, both online and off. Recently CBS News announced the creation of a blog designed to help alert it to problems in its reporting, showing how blogs have become increasingly sophisticated and relevant, he said.

"The national news media is taking notice of blogs now, and both large and small companies are finding them to be invaluable for feedback from customers," said Abbott.

Abbott also hosts and edits the nhreligion.com blog, a news and information resource for New Hampshire religion news.
